Would appreciate any ideas? I was an "intermediate" flat picker returning after many years of absence. Used to know lot's of theory, complex chords, scales and such but have forgotten a lot. I am willing to practice of course and would like to expand to learning to finger pick too.
Are there any good courses/books out there (I learned using Mel Bay back in the early 60's) or online instructionals? I have found quite a few individual lessons, but was thinking more along the lines of a course or series of lessons.
Thanks.

Just to clarify... are you looking for courses on paper and tabs only, or do you want a cd/dvd that shows you as well?

Just to clarify... are you looking for courses on paper and tabs only, or do you want a cd/dvd that shows you as well? Good thoughts, Robert. I've suggested the "Homespun" DVD Instructions in the past, although I haven't used them myself. But I know enough people who have, and found them very helpful. Are you familiar with them? Anyone else here used them? They have DVD's for fingerstyle, flatpicking, bluegrass banjo, etc. As for "tabs?" I simply can't "compute" them in my brain. I learned with Mel Bay chord charts and what I was able to do (which was a lot) by ear, or by watching someone and having them show me what they were doing.
