I gave some time today setting up a grand piano with electronics (player, MIDI and output for PA) at the children's hospital. We all have our daily struggles with self and our kids but that was enough to realize how relative or trivial it can be. My heart goes out to those families and I'm so impressed with the courage I saw in them. I caught a doctor come into the area and sit alone in tears for a while - I can only imagine. The morning was one of those times when I remember how my grandmother always had disgust for the complainers.
Of course it didn't go so well because the piano had some damage from shipping and networking wasn't present, it will go on, but I want to help the individual who donated the expensive gift and hope music from the grand piano in the lobby will do that special stuff we know music can do for those who are at the children's hospital.

Thanks for the cheering post.
If a person could perceive just how much pain there is in this world, s/he would likely go insane. Thank goodness there are many humans around who believe in the "Gaia" principle for humanity - we are all connected.
(And music is such incredible therapy!)

Good job. I don't know how doctors can deal with sick children. I could never do it, so I'm glad others can. Glad you found a way to help everyone involved.
