Hey Glen (and Sandy, Sue, Jim Samuels... etc.): whaddya think about a nice diversion with a "Dulcimer Build Thread" down there in "Music?" -OR- would you rather try it up here in "General," as that is the only Forum "guests" can at least READ, albeit not post without Registration? Just wondering. Glen: this is your call--as it is your project. You will have at least 3 "rabid" posters from here, not counting moi. I will post this over on "Rebelrouser's" Kingston Trio forum ("Musicians' Rendezvous") but a thread-link will not work unless the lurker is a member here-they will be taken to a registration screen. Anyway, I might also give Bill Ward a "heads up" if you'd like. Again, up to you Glen. I won't do anything you'd prefer I didn't. I wish there was a way to post some notice on AGF, but it is AGF policy NOT to promote or "link" another website, per se. Since John Cotten is a Dulcimer fan, maybe he'll have a creative suggestion. He IS a very creative guy, and has been very supportive of "The Wharf," posting most recently on Dulcimers. Glen-this kind off the wall project might be a "stone-in-a-pond" with some far-reaching ripples. Just sayin'... ;D Let us know what ya think, my friend!

Sounds good to me. Threads and links away! Where ever you can post or link them. ;D

Sounds good to me. Threads and links away! Where ever you can post or link them. ;D Glen Well, I'm really bi-polar on this, as sending the link on to a friend, or putting it up on Rebelrouser's Forum, e.g. if it's in "Music" won't be able to be seen unless they register. Maybe Rhapsy can find a "pref" setting to allow viewing. As for posting, you simply have to bite the bullet and join. I'll look into that. Can't wait to see the sawdust flying! ;D

I can definitely make the Music section of the Board visible to the outside world....if there are no objections from the rest of the group.

I like it front and center like this. ;D
Of course my vote might be a little bit biased. ;D

That's OK Glen. (And anyone else). It's not like we'll be inundated with build-threads or somesuch. There are a couple of people (or other forums, like Ken's) that I felt kinda bad I couldn't share the "New Improved Gold Thread" without kind of back-door compelling someone(s) to register. However, this should be OK. We don't have some of the needed AGF rules on this (needed for them, not us). So, we'll give it a shot!

How's that dulcimer coming along, Glen? Ahhhh--Sandy---you're a PEACH!! I've been semi-awake 9 minutes and you already made my Day. (And, Sue's to "shy" to ask! ).

Sue is not too shy. She's too stupid. She knows the dulcimer is (will be?) in very good, competent hands.

Being a mountain dulcimer fan too (I own three), I'll be watching this build with great interest. That's some beautiful wood to start with, I'm really looking forward to seeing the finished piece.
