Thanks Charlie! I wear a baseball cap mostly to protect my balding head. As I get older I am looking for more stylish head wear.

Alas.... some folks just don't have a "hat head". I'm learning to live with it, but it's hard.

It's a funny thing that some folks don't look good in hats, and others don't look good without 'em, ain't it?

I lost a lot of hair and generally keep it buzzed quite short instead of fighting it. Consequently, I wear a baseball hat a LOT because we get lots of sun.
Sorry, but I would never wear one of those hats. Not my cup of tea!

I dislike wearing hats but have no choice but to protect my head when in the sun.
Incidentally, I'll never understand why folks wear hats indoors. I was taught it was bad manners.

Thanks for posting. I have one of the "walking hats" I got from L.L. Bean in the '80's.

Thanks Charlie! I wear a baseball cap mostly to protect my balding head. As I get older I am looking for more stylish head wear. I wear several type of hats depending on its functionality. I like wide brimmed straw/wood felt type for farm work, hiking, and golf. The "newsboy" style works well for trips and sticking in a rear pants pocket when inside. Admittedly my interest in hats have been influenced by an interest in Civil War and early 1900 clothing and cultures where clothes served as much funtion as style.

I also have an interest in 19th and early 20th century clothing. I used to wear a shirt when I was a docent at a carriage museum that was worn by carriage drivers. It was very nice and fun to wear. I wish I still had it.
